First Phase of Yiwu International Trade City
The first phase of Yiwu International Trade City, located to the east of North Chouzhou Road, west of Futian Road, north of Shangcheng Road and south of Chendong Road, is an extremely busy commercial zone.

The first phase market was opened to public on October 22, 2002. It covers an area of 420 mu with business area of 340,000 square meters in total. The first phase market contains 5 managerial areas; main body of the market, direct selling center of production enterprises, commodity purchasing center, stock center and food & beverage department. It owns huge parking place. With the underground parking lot, the total area of the parking is 63,000 square meters.

Now there are more than 9,000 shops and over 10,000 distributors. The first phase market of Yiwu International Trade City holds more than 100,000 hinds of commodities from art & gifts, ornaments, flower and toy industries. Over 80% Christmas presents of the whole world are from here. There are four floors in the market. the first is for flowers and toys, the second for ornaments, the third for art & gifts, and the fourth is the direct marketing center for small and medium-sized native enterprises and Taiwan Hall as well. In the east annex, the purchase center of foreign trade enterprises and halls of related functional department offices are set.

Compared to previous markets, this market has three advantages; Firstly, changing the traditional commodity exchange into a modern way which concerns product exhibition, business discussion, taking orders and e-business. Secondly, achieving a high degree of internationalization. Over 65% of the commodities are exported to 218 countries and regions.
